Antioxidant MBI MBI as such is seldom used in the rubber industry as it inhibits little ageing properties in rubber compounds. MBI is used primarily as synergestic additive for other antioxidants of both amine and phenolic types especially in improving heat ageing resistance and countering metallic contaminations. Typical dosage varies from 0.5 - 1.0 phr depending upon the improvements required in ageing. It however does little help in improving flex - crack resistance properties. MBI is entirely non-staining and non-discolouring.
Storage and Handling Stable indefinitely under normal storage conditions. No special handling precautions are necessary. Normal precautions to avoid contact with skin and eyes should be followed. For eyes, flush with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
